Duck and Cover

Posted on January 17, 2018 by camelotkidd

A year on it’s become clear that the McResistance to Trump’s misrule is largely about Democrats and liberals avoiding self-examination, while continuing the ruinous neoliberal and neoconservative policies that brought us to this point. For example, Trump came into office promising … Continue reading →

All the fake news that’s fit to print

The corporate-media is still freaking-out over fake news. Their concern would have a lot more credibility and sympathy if these so-called respectable news outlets hadn’t been responsible for so much propaganda. Does anyone remember mushroom clouds, aluminum tubes, and weapons … Continue reading →

The Other Ratchet

Posted on May 15, 2017 by camelotkidd

I’ve written before about how our political process is like a ratchet, where the Republicans apply rightward force, while the Democrats allow this rightward movement but whenever there’s a lull, they lock into place and prevent any movement back … Continue reading →

Hypocrisy is thy name

Posted on October 23, 2016 by camelotkidd

Only our unique American exceptionalism could create hypocrisy so great that it threatens to blot out the sun. Historians have documented that empires fail when the discrepancy between what elites say and what they do grows too large. It’s … Continue reading →
